BIKE AND BIKE PART DONATIONS

At Retro Glow Cycles, we strive to keep as many bicycles on the roads and out of landfills as possible.  Your bike, or bike part donations, go a long way to helping us achieve this goal. Bike and part donations also help us keep prices affordable for the entire community.   We thank you for your donations.  Here is some helpful information about our donation process.

What do you do with donated bikes?

Most donated bikes are refurbished. We then help find them a new home to create new memories.  Other donations are used for parts to keep an inventory for customer repairs.  Remaining bikes are donated to Working Bikes in Chicago. There are many factors, such as bike condition, age, type, etc. that go into deciding what we do with the bike. 

How do I donate a bike?

We accept donations during our business hours. You can just bring the bike and let us know it is a donation. If you have multiple bikes, or do not have a good way to transport bikes, we can set a pick up date.  Just call us and work out a time convenient for us to pick up your donation.

What bikes to you accept for donation?

We accept all makes and models of bikes. The only exception is e-bikes. WE DO NOT ACCEPT E-BIKE DONATIONS.
